Garrett Markenson (@garrettmarkenson) is a Los Angeles-based hairdresser, salon owner and product developer. After an inspirational salon experience in 2003 while studying fine art in Florence, Italy, Markenson decided to embark on his journey to hair. Five years later he opened Garrett Markenson Coiffure, and in 2020 opened Valley Studio, a space that celebrates art, mentorship and beauty. In 2011 he launched REVERIE hair care, which is handcrafted in California using sustainable, botanical ingredients. To further celebrate the craft of hairdressing, in 2022 Markenson published Reforma: Disciplines of Hair Culture, a book available in print and online that furthers the future of hairdressing.
