Charli Boell
Finding their passion for hair at nine years old, Charli Boell’s first “clients” were local skateboarding kids. After attending both cosmetology and barbering school, Charli (@shrunknheads) became licensed in 2015, and in 2019 formed Hair Punx education team, which was later picked up by Pulp Riot. In 2020, Charli revealed they are transgender, which allowed them to find themselves and a family within the LGBTQIA+ community. Now known for their clipper cuts and on-trend mullets, Charli seeks to empower individuals to break free from the gender binary. Their mullets gained fame when Doja Cat wore a wig on the Grammys red carpet that had been cut by Charli. Today Charli cuts hair from a private studio in Arcadia, California; is proudly affiliated with LYC Naturals, Olaplex and JATAI international; and offers independent education.
